Pie Crust

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (2.5 cups) flour
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) ice cold butter, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 7 tbsp ice water
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Mix together water and cider vinegar.
  2. Put flour and butter into food processor. Mix until you get "coarse crumbs"
  3. Add half of water+vinegar mix, and pulse a few times.
  4. Add the rest of the water+vinegar, and pulse until it just starts to come together.
  5. Take out the crumbly mixture, and pat it into a round shape by hand.
  6. Divide it into halves. Form into disks, and cover with plastic wrap.
  7. Refridgerate the halves for at least 30 min.
  8. Now dough it ready to roll out into 2 9-inch disks.
